Features: In the 10th year of the Dade era (Bingwu, 1306 AD), Wu Liang of Hangzhou compiled the "Ning Jing" (Book of Endurance), gathering remarks from famous figures throughout history on the concept of "endurance" and historical examples of individuals who practiced patience, humility, loyalty, and forgiveness, totaling 156 entries. Four years later, in the 3rd year of the Zhidai era (Gengxu, 1310 AD), Xu Mingkui, another author, coincidentally wrote the "Encouraging Endurance in 100 Adages," a four-volume work with 100 entries, becoming the culmination of the study of endurance. Its content covers various aspects such as loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, righteousness, emotions, desires, reputation, and power. This book combines both "Ning Jing" and "Encouraging Endurance in 100 Adages," adding detailed translations based on the original works of Wu Liang and Xu Mingkui. Targeted commentary on relevant principles is appended to the translation of "Ning Jing," while classic ancient examples are included after "Encouraging Endurance in 100 Adages." Thus, it is compiled into a wisdom treasure trove showcasing the philosophy of ancient sages in handling life, helping people improve their thoughts and moral cultivation.
