Features: From the title of this book and the topic awareness in the first section, it can be seen that the research theme of this book involves two interrelated important aspects: On the one hand, it studies the position of China's industry in the new round of international division of labor; on the other hand, it studies the strategic adjustment of China's industrial structure. In previous literature, these two issues have often been examined separately. Secondly, to study the position of China's industry in the new round of international division of labor, it is first necessary to examine the changes that have taken place in the contemporary international division of labor pattern in which China's industry participates. Because the division of labor pattern of international division of labor is not static but dynamic. This change is not only reflected in the continuous changes of the overall global international division of labor pattern, with different characteristics and forms in different historical periods; but also in the division of labor relationships between different countries at home and abroad, which change with economic development and changes in industrial structure. Thirdly, to study the position of China's industry in the new round of international division of labor, it inevitably involves the comparative advantages and competitiveness of China's industry, as well as international comparisons with other countries, requiring a large amount of empirical research. Therefore, it is necessary to determine specific empirical analysis samples. In this book, although it is based on a global perspective, the author only selects the three typical "blocks" of the current economic regionalization of the world. Finally, after clarifying the position and status of China's industry in the new round of international division of labor, in order to achieve the strategic goal of becoming a first-class economic power, corresponding strategic adjustments of the industrial structure are necessary. As mentioned earlier, this adjustment is the industrial structure adjustment after China enters a new development stage in the new era. Therefore, the content and ideas of this adjustment are different from previous adjustments, requiring a comprehensive and renewed emphasis. It must be pointed out that, given China's national conditions, the strategic adjustment of China's industrial structure is not solely a production or technology issue, but more importantly a policy and institutional issue.
