Will hepatitis B still flare up?

Patient's question:

I have five functions of hepatitis B, and the surface antibody is positive with a plus sign. Is it because I used to come into contact with someone who had hepatitis B that I developed antibodies? If I used to come into contact with someone who had hepatitis B and developed antibodies, would I still get sick? How long can antibodies last before they disappear?

Doctor's answer:

According to your description, if you have ever received the hepatitis B vaccine, it is possible that the antibodies were produced after vaccination. But if you haven't been vaccinated and have developed antibodies, the possibility might be that you have been exposed to a hepatitis B patient. A positive hepatitis B antibody is not lifelong, and it is recommended to get retested every five to six years. If the antibody titer decreases, you can receive the hepatitis B vaccine again. Hepatitis B is a disease that is not easily resolved. Friends with the disease should always maintain an optimistic attitude and face it with a positive mindset. Only in this way can they boost their confidence in fighting hepatitis B and believe that they will surely recover.
