Features: Veterinary pharmacology is a specialized foundational course in veterinary science, serving as a bridge between basic theory and clinical practice. In recent years, with the rapid advancement of science and technology and the continuous improvement of people's living standards, veterinary pharmacology has also evolved. The introduction of a large number of new drugs, the constant innovation of new theories, and the widespread application of new methods have directed drug research toward broader and more refined directions. To adapt to the development of the discipline and meet the needs of clinical practice, as well as to cultivate high-level clinical practitioners, veterinary pharmacology textbooks for higher agricultural colleges should consider and arrange new aspects such as the variety of drugs, the inclusion of new drugs, the depth of theory, and the scope of application. Northern China is a developed region for animal husbandry, and veterinary pharmacology, like other disciplines, should reflect the characteristics of the times and the region. Therefore, three higher agricultural colleges in Northeast China jointly compiled this humble work. During the compilation process of this textbook, we strive to adhere to the requirements proposed in the "Interim Measures for the Administration of Teaching Materials in Higher Agricultural Colleges," emphasizing the ideological, scientific, advanced, and applicable nature of the content. The textbook aims to fully inspire students' intelligence, follow the principles of education and teaching, cultivate their ability for independent thinking and creativity, and implement the principle of linking theory with practice to further enhance their ability to analyze and solve problems.
