Is the highly infectious?

Patient's question:

I have had for several years. It was discovered in 2002. I have taken many traditional Chinese medicines and Western medicines in the meantime, but they haven't been very effective. My liver function is normal.

Doctor's answer:

If you are only an HBsAg-positive patient and your girlfriend also has antibodies to the hepatitis B virus, then you will absolutely not infect your girlfriend, because the virus in HBsAg-positive patients is not replicated. Since your girlfriend already has antibodies, it is very difficult for her to be infected.
In other words, your girlfriend is unlikely to be infected with the hepatitis B virus. In the future, it is sufficient to check her hepatitis B antibody levels once a year.
For the patient, if the liver disease condition is severe, immediate symptomatic treatment should be initiated, with appropriate medication. Otherwise, it may lead to a recurrence of liver disease. Additionally, patients need to maintain a positive mood to avoid worsening the condition.
