Features: For a long time, the important role of the Yangtze River culture in the history of Chinese civilization and even world civilization has not received the attention it deserves from academia. Existing works on Chinese historical and cultural heritage seem to have formed a stereotype, viewing the Yellow River as the sole "cradle" of Chinese civilization, known as the Yellow River-centric theory or Central Plains-centric theory. Since the 1980s, an increasing number of archaeological discoveries in the Yangtze River Basin have drawn the attention and participation of numerous scholars in the study of cultural forms in various regions of the basin. Academic research on subcultures such as Ba, Shu, Chu, Wu, and Yue, as well as Huijiang, Hunan-Xiang, Lingnan, and Haipai, has been flourishing, producing many influential works and sparking a surge in the study of Yangtze River culture. In 1993, the renowned scholar Ji Xianlin was deeply moved after visiting Jingzhou Museum and Hubei Provincial Museum, writing an article titled "Chinese Ancient History Should Be Rewritten," pointing out that the ancient culture of the Yangtze River Basin could at least rival that of the Yellow River Basin at the same period. In 1997, he wrote another article, "Chinese History Must Be Rewritten," reiterating the need to integrate this perspective into the study of Chinese general history. In recent years, academic research has shown that the magnificent and profound Yangtze River culture is also one of the important sources of outstanding traditional Chinese culture. It converges with the Yellow River culture in the north and south, surging and colliding to form an endless tide of Chinese civilization, merging into the vast ocean of ancient world civilization. This book includes an overview, the history of the Naxi people, the ecology of the Naxi region, the economy of the Naxi people, the customs of the Naxi people, the culture of the Naxi people, the Naxi people's friendship, and more.
