Is 140 considered high blood pressure?

Patient's question:

I have always been irritable and have experienced dizziness and a stuffy head. I checked my blood pressure and it was 140, 140. Is that considered high blood pressure?

Doctor's answer:

If the ventilator is 90 mmHg, and the high pressure is 140 mmHg, that is critical hypertension. In this case, the diet should be light and avoid overly salty foods. Don't get angry or have stomach issues; maintain a good mood to prevent blood pressure from dropping. Dizziness and head fullness may be due to insufficient blood supply to the brain. It could also be caused by arteriosclerosis or hyperlipidemia, and related tests should be conducted.
