Features: In recent years, China's plastic industry has experienced rapid development, maintaining high growth rates annually. The state has placed great emphasis on the plastic industry and has formulated a series of preferential policies to support its growth. However, most of China's plastic enterprises are small and medium-sized enterprises or research institutions, exhibiting strong regional characteristics. To adapt to the development trends of China's plastic industry, meet enterprises' needs for improving product quality and enhancing competitiveness in the international market, and also to fulfill the requirements of plastic production enterprises for adopting standards, we have revised the "Comprehensive Plastic Standards." This three-volume set includes: Plastic Basic Standards and General Methods, Synthetic Resins, and Plastic Products. This volume, "Comprehensive Plastic Standards: Plastic Basic Standards and General Methods (2nd Edition)," compiles all currently valid plastic basic standards and general methods national standards approved by the end of January 2005, totaling 86 items. The content includes: definitions and terminology of plastics, physical and chemical properties of plastics, combustion performance of plastics, mechanical properties of plastics, environmental and chemical resistance of plastics, etc. The attributes of the national standards collected in this compilation are indicated in this catalog (GB or GB/T), with years represented by four digits. Some national standards were published before the national standard cleanup and revision, and have not been updated yet. Therefore, the original text is retained in the main body of this compilation. When using these national standards, their attributes should be referred to as indicated in this catalog (please note that readers should verify the attributes of standards cited in the "References" section of the standard text). This compilation was jointly edited by the Petrochemical Plastics Resin Products Branch of the National Technical Committee of Plastic Standardization and the Second Editorial Office of China Standard Press. Chen Hongyuan and Yang Chunmei from the Secretariat of TC15/SC1 reviewed the catalog of this book. Due to the varying publication years of the standards included in this compilation, no changes were made to the units, symbol formats, etc., used in the standards during the compilation process. This book is suitable for technical personnel and standardization personnel in plastic production, inspection, research, and sales units.
