Features: After completing Return to Laozi, although I was eager to start preparing for Return to the Analects as soon as possible, my main focus was on popularizing and extending Return to Laozi. I finished writing A True Interpretation of the Tao Te Ching, and I had halfway completed Laozi for the Youth, but then I decided to insert this book, Laozi: What It Really Means. Today, a group of comrades are promoting the reading of classics, advocating for young people to study them, and striving to bring traditional Chinese classics like the Analects, Tao Te Ching, and Zhuangzi into the cultural of primary and secondary school students. I fully support their efforts. Through these years of in-depth study of Laozi and Zhuangzi, with some exploration into the pre-Qin philosophers, I have deeply realized the greatness and wisdom of the thoughts of Laozi, Confucius, and Zhuangzi, as well as their positive and profound potential influence on the civilization and character formation of the Chinese nation. This has also made me reflect that if the thoughts of Laozi, Confucius, and Zhuangzi were to become the mainstream discourse, what a blessing it would be for China, the East, and even the whole world. As Chinese people who possess this excellent cultural heritage, we not only should value and utilize this intellectual resource ourselves but also have the responsibility to contribute it to the world, allowing all of humanity to share and benefit from it. Such outstanding thoughts, of course, are the best to be taught to children as early as possible. Computers should be taught to children from a young age, and the nurturing of excellent humanistic spirit should be even more so.
