Previously had chlamydia and ureaplasma, after a month, there was another discharge.

Patient's question:

Two months ago, I had gonorrhea, which was treated and cured. Later, I was found to have UV and took doxycycline. Now, I have white and yellow discharge again. Urinalysis showed abnormal white blood cells, but the liquid-based thin prep test and microbial examination yielded no results. However, I still have white and yellow discharge. What could be the symptoms? I have been prescribed cefixime tablets. How should I take them? Is it twice a day, or should I take the full dose once at night for complex urinary tract infection, or according to the gonorrhea infection guidelines, once at 1500mg?

Doctor's answer:

Hello, Azithromycin can be used for treatment. If the effect is not good, a drug sensitivity test can be conducted, and then a sensitive antibiotic can be chosen for treatment. Generally, three months of consecutive negative tests indicate a cure.
