Offense letter

Publishing Date: 2007-01-01
Features: Among contemporary writers, Chen Xi's writing about existence is unparalleled. In this book, he still uses his sharp pen to offend our normal world, questioning the heaviness of the body, the pain of the soul, and the truth of existence. Nine stories, rather, are like opening nine layers of hell. The author, like Dante, leads the readers in, delving deeper step by step, each layer more unbearable and terrifying, yet each layer closer to the truth and also closer to the ladder leading to heaven. But the path to heaven requires courage. Chen Xi's own courage is not the same as the reader's courage, so at the beginning of each story, Chen Xi asks: Can you choose to close this book? Do you really want to open it?
