Features: Since the beginning of the 21st century, with the updating of people's concepts, the development of Chinese folk music has blossomed like flowers in a hundred-garden, colorful and vibrant. Folk music ensembles in various regions have achieved a certain degree of development based on their own characteristics. Due to the limitations of folk music ensembles, especially in creative aspects, as well as the lack of compositions, teaching materials, and audio resources needed for the development of folk music, and the scarcity of conductors and instructors for folk music ensembles after entering the market operation mechanism, there has been a lack of both standardized and outstanding works. This collection of works features small and medium-sized folk music ensemble pieces by renowned composers such as Xu Jingxin, Zhou Chenglong, Fu Peihua, Zhu Xiaogu, and Yang Chunlin. These works have long become staple repertoire for professional ensembles and amateur music-loving groups. To standardize and improve the rehearsal and performance levels of the ensembles, we have specifically recorded each piece as a CD. These demonstration CDs not only reflect the original intent of the works but also showcase the level of the Shanghai Youth Folk Music Ensemble.
