It categorizes all currently effective laws passed by the National People's Congress and its Standing Committee from 1979 to April 2004, along with the draft laws and related legal documents such as explanations, reports, and presentations that were deliberated during National People's Congress sessions or sessions of the Standing Committee. These documents are organized into the seven legal departments that constitute the socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics, providing a comprehensive and reliable reference for legislative workers, administrative and judicial personnel, legal researchers, legal education and publicity workers, and other readers.
