Features: This book studies the socialist agricultural thought of a certain period. The historical materials of socialist thought during this period are vast, involving many socialist schools of thought. However, regarding socialist agriculture, apart from a few specialized books, the content is mostly scattered in various articles within different works. In our research, the specific methods adopted are: mainstream method. Whether it was the socialist revolution and construction in the Soviet Union or in China, they were all carried out under the guidance of Marxist theory. As the founders of this theory, Marx and Engels' socialist agricultural thought had an impact on the development of socialist agriculture in these countries that no other socialists could match. Therefore, in our research, we consistently regard Marx and Engels' agricultural thought as the mainstream to construct the overall structure of this book, analyzing in detail the sources, emergence, development, main content, and disagreements with their comrades and students. This book attempts to objectively analyze Marx and Engels' socialist agricultural thought. Second, the process method. The object of socialist agricultural thought is to study and summarize the history of the emergence, development, and evolution of various agricultural viewpoints, doctrines, theories, and policies after the rise of socialism. Third, the analysis method. In the study of the history of socialist agricultural thought, one cannot simply affirm everything or negate everything. Fourth, the inheritance method. It includes two aspects: critical inheritance and direct inheritance. Generally speaking, between thinkers of different classes and schools of thought, it is mainly inherited critically. Fifth, the comparative method. The various specific viewpoints, doctrines, theories, and policies to be studied in the history of socialist agricultural thought all have deep roots in the practice of agricultural development in each country. Due to the differences or changes in the specific historical conditions of each country, it is impossible to form a unified agricultural thought.
