Features: The book presented to the readers is a collection of master's theses for industrial economics graduate students. The compilation of this book serves two purposes. It is indeed not an easy task to solidly catch up during the short period of graduate studies. Moreover, the writing of master's theses is one of the important means to assess whether graduate students have mastered and built a solid foundation in industrial economics. The editors aim to motivate graduate students to study and master the theories of industrial economics through publishing this collection of master's theses. Second, they hope to play a supervisory role in the cultivation of master's students in economics. The evaluation of graduate training performance mainly lies not in internal self-evaluation but in external evaluation. Through the theses of the students they train, they accept evaluations from peers and the broader society. In this edited collection, a total of 11 papers were selected. These 11 papers were chosen by the editorial committee members through anonymous voting from the master's theses of the 2003 and 2004 graduating classes.
