Features: This project is strictly controlled by the unified technical specifications of the overall project, with rigorous quality control implemented in every aspect of the work. It also exceeds the original research goals in depth and breadth. The study obtained background values of soil environments for various statistical units in Jiangxi Province, explored the differentiation patterns of soil environmental background values, and compiled maps of soil environmental background values. Particularly, the application of computer-based multivariate statistical methods such as cluster analysis, discriminant analysis, factor analysis, and canonical correlation analysis for data processing, combined with geochemical and environmental science interpretations of the provincial soil environmental background values, introduced innovations in digitalizing influencing factors and comprehensive analysis methods, in the preparation of graded statistical maps, in the formulation of soil environmental quality evaluation standards, and in the development of expert systems. The data obtained from this research is reliable, comparable, and authoritative, filling a significant gap in Jiangxi Province's environmental background value studies. It provides important scientific evidence for establishing provincial soil environmental standards and regulations, conducting regional environmental quality evaluations, controlling farmland soil pollution, and supporting land reclamation, agricultural micro-fertilizer application, and the prevention of endemic diseases.
