Features: This book is part of the research findings of the National Natural Science Foundation project "Study on the Climatic Formation Mechanism and Zoning of High-Quality and High-Yield Goji Berries in Ningxia" (2000-2002). The project addresses the gaps in domestic and international research on the relationship between goji berry yield, quality, and meteorological conditions, while also supporting the development and revitalization of the goji berry industry in Ningxia. Using field experiments, collection of national goji berry samples and soil samples for laboratory analysis, and corresponding meteorological data, the book simulates the quantitative relationships between multiple indicators such as goji berry yield, external quality, and internal quality, and several meteorological factors or soil nutrients. It analyzes the changes in each factor, determines the corresponding agricultural meteorological indicators, and conducts zoning. The main contents include:
① The relationship between factors such as goji berry photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, and stomatal conductance and meteorological factors, as well as meteorological indicators;
② The relationship between goji berry external quality and several medicinal quality indicators and soil nutrients and meteorological factors, along with meteorological indicators;
③ The relationship model between goji berry yield and meteorological factors and the corresponding indicators;
④ The climatic differences in goji berry yield and quality between northern China and Ningxia;
⑤ Research on other aspects of goji berry microclimate, growth and development, and meteorology.
The book makes new breakthroughs in goji berry dry-heat wind, quality indicators, technical methods, RS, GIS, and MICAPS applications. It is suitable for leaders and professionals in meteorology, ecology, agriculture, forestry, and other fields, as well as for students and teachers in related disciplines at universities and colleges.
