Features: Faced with an image, I argue about a tree, a branch of a flower, a bird, a human body, and a face. I always feel the undulating of colorful clouds, the rushing of rivers, and the melodious sound of a zither. They are like music, stirring my heart to dance, singing the vitality and resilience of life, and murmuring the withering and fragility of life. Without realizing it, my heart and hands move together, moving silently. Movement creates momentum, forming images that reveal rhythm and shape, and the image naturally emerges in sketches and quick sketches. I seem to be often taken by all things into the volume, rhythm, and rhyme of different life forms, dancing with them, stepping with them, rejoicing with them, and wandering with them, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes light, sometimes heavy. My heart, hands, and eyes are like spinning tops, being pulled by the internal tension of a life, constantly spinning forward and backward. As the tension extends to the tip of every line, a sketch is born naturally. What is seen here is not important; what is important is the invisible surging of the heart and the subconscious harmony. A person is like a piece of nature, and the human body is a small universe. The ancients drew far from things and near from the body, learning from nature and purifying the heart to paint. The aim is to use a brush to imitate the body of the great void. I try to understand it through sketches and sketches. The author of this book is a professor at Tsinghua University of Arts and Design. With the model paintings and examples from his teaching, he targets specific painting techniques, making this book relevant to both college entrance examination topics and art college teaching.
