Features: Contemporary graphic design presents various forms, including products, environmental art, trademarks, advertising, etc. Today, designers find themselves not only as writers, entrepreneurs, art directors but also often as TV artists. In these diverse roles, designers must face the challenges: why and how to be innovative. In this book, designers and writers from four young studios, along with critics and editors, discuss these concerns and showcase over 250 colorful design works, ranging from T-shirt designs, color clothing, skateboard designs, signage to their own magazines and animation designs. For clients like Aesha Mayaak, AAGOO Records, and the Urban Teaching Center, as well as their own magazines, the Honest Studio created a series of vivid and innovative designs, revealing the unique personalities and aesthetic perspectives of each designer in the studio. Their flexible design approach has produced a variety of styles for clients while avoiding an overly aesthetic pursuit. The Basic Studio focuses more on concepts rather than personal styles for each project, so their designs for many clients often carry a "conceptual theme," including the Modern Art Museum, the Belgian Socialist Party, and the American Milk Gallery. The Hunter Studio draws inspiration from daily life for their clothing and women's accessories series. While skillfully utilizing high-tech media, they also often employ low-tech media, using simple materials like masking tape, drawing boards, and cutouts to create relaxed and playful designs. The New York Studio's work reflects contemporary passion and vitality, as well as a desire to continuously create designs that surprise even their clients and themselves. In addition to working for music stations, Seale7 websites, architect Andrew Tenon, and the Gap clothing series, they collaborate with DJs and publish and distribute their own poster series.
