Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-centered, virtue-based education" and has developed a distinctive approach to nurturing students that emphasizes "comprehensive development + special talents." It has pioneered a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, striving for excellence, embracing diversity, and pursuing innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is a natural outcome of its long-term implementation of quality-oriented education, and merely reflects one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements. When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What ability does it have to turn sand into a tower? What skill does it have to turn stone into gold? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the (commanding bat) of college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully grasp the intentions of test-setters and deeply understand the underlying principles, positioning itself as a leader rather than a blind follower. While Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems, it strongly advocates for students to break free from such a mindset. It opposes students doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to engage in flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the problem-solving process. If Huanggang High School has any other successes, it is that while cultivating and shaping a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged its teaching staff, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and remarkable teaching achievements. To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School's teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of four series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," "Huanggang High School 2007 College Entrance Exam Second and Third Round Training Questions," and "Huanggang High School Middle School Entrance Exam Comprehensive Review." The "Huanggang High School Middle School Entrance Exam Comprehensive Review" series adopts a three-module format—"knowledge explanation," "example problem analysis," and "intensive training"—to highlight its features. In every aspect, it strives to closely align with the middle school entrance exams, practicality, innovation, and utility. Part of the content of this series comes from internal use and exchanges with friendly schools, while the other part consists of newly added materials based on recent changes in middle school entrance exam questions, now compiled and published for the first time. This series also reflects the following writing philosophy and characteristics: 1. This series is based on textbooks and provides a detailed and thorough review of the entire junior high school curriculum. In each knowledge unit, it emphasizes the balance of teaching, examples, exercises, and evaluations, helping students quickly master the content of the unit. 2. This series is maximally aligned with the requirements of the middle school entrance exams. Most of the example problems and exercises included are taken from recent middle school entrance exam questions across various provinces and cities, greatly enhancing the targeting and timeliness of this series. 3. This series also emphasizes the extensibility of knowledge explanation, with a particular focus on developing students' thinking skills, practical life application skills, and interdisciplinary abilities.
