Features: Founded in 1904, Huanggang High School in Hubei Province was designated as a key high school in Hubei in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Outstanding Collective in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-centered, virtue-based education" and has developed a distinctive approach to nurturing students that combines "comprehensive development with specialized talents." It has pioneered a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, striving for excellence, embracing diversity, and pursuing innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is a natural outcome of its long-term implementation of quality education, and only a glimpse of its abundant teaching achievements. When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What power does it have to turn sand into a tower? What ability does it have to turn stone into gold? These are questions I often hear. To assume that Huanggang High School merely follows the of college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully understand the intentions of test-setters and deeply grasp the underlying principles, positioning itself as a leader rather than a blind follower. While Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems, it strongly encourages students to break free from it. It opposes students from doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We advocate that students engage in flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the process of problem-solving. If Huanggang High School has any other successes, it is that while nurturing and shaping a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged a strong team of teachers, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and remarkable teaching achievements. To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School's teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of four series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," "Huanggang High School 2006 College Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Questions," and "Huanggang High School Middle School Entrance Exam Comprehensive Review." The "Huanggang High School Middle School Entrance Exam Comprehensive Review" series adopts a three-module format—"Knowledge Explanation," "Example Problem Analysis," and "Intensive Training"—to highlight its features. From every perspective, it strives to closely align with the middle school entrance exams, practicality, innovation, and practicality. Part of the content of this series is derived from internal teaching materials and exchanges with friendly schools, while the other part consists of newly supplemented materials based on recent changes in middle school entrance exam questions, now compiled and published for the first time. This series also embodies the following writing philosophy and features: 1. Based on the textbook, this series meticulously organizes and reviews the entire junior high school curriculum. In each knowledge unit, it emphasizes the balance of teaching, examples, practice, and evaluation, helping students quickly grasp the content of the unit. 2. This series is designed to closely align with the requirements of the middle school entrance exams. Most of the examples and exercises included are taken from recent middle school entrance exam questions across various provinces and cities, greatly enhancing the targeting and timeliness of the series. 3. This series also emphasizes the expandability of knowledge explanations, with a particular focus on developing students' thinking skills, practical life application abilities, and interdisciplinary competencies.
