In today's society, personal wishes are respected, and multiple value systems coexist. Marriage is purely a personal choice, and even if a couple chooses not to have children after marriage, as long as their marital life is happy, few people will comment on it. Additionally, with advancements in obstetrics and neonatal medicine, if natural childbirth is difficult, a cesarean section can be performed to ensure a safe delivery. Premature infants can also be ensured to survive safely. Planning a family is especially important because we live in such a privileged era. Couples who want children after marriage should ideally plan their family early and conceive within the optimal fertility period to welcome a new life into their family. Pregnancy and childbirth are major events in life. It is best to conceive when both physically and mentally strong, with the ability to fulfill this mission, and to conceive in the best possible condition to give birth to a healthy and intelligent baby. After the baby is born, it is important to frequently hug and caress the child; skin-to-skin contact is crucial. Breastfeeding should be continued for at least 6 months. Although medicine has advanced, risks during pregnancy and childbirth still exist. However, if expectant parents have some medical knowledge and pay a little attention, these risks can usually be avoided. After getting married and forming a new family, the next step is to consider the birth of the new family member, "the little treasure." It is necessary to consider various factors and the construction of the future family when choosing the appropriate time for pregnancy and childbirth—this is what (family planning) entails.
First, one should determine whether or not to have children. Some may hesitate due to genetic histories in their families, such as hereditary mental illness, intellectual disability, physical disorders, diabetes, or hypertension, or if the wife has chronic conditions like heart disease, nephritis, or epilepsy. In such cases, it is necessary to consult a doctor, discuss thoroughly, and then decide whether to have children. If the decision is made to have children, one must consider the health status, age, work and study arrangements, financial situation, and even the feeding and education of the child after birth. This ensures "having everything in mind" and choosing the best time when all conditions are optimal to fulfill the life-changing task of having children.
Planning Pregnancy Should Not Be Overlooked
Austrian doctors conducted in-depth research on the impact of a pregnant woman's emotions on the fetus. They divided over 100 pregnant women into four categories:
① Ideal Mothers: Experience a calm pregnancy, smooth delivery, and have healthy, strong infants.
② Conflicted Mothers: Love their children but do not want them. Most of their infants exhibit abnormal behavior and digestive problems.
③ Disaster Mothers: Hold a negative attitude toward childbirth, with a high rate of premature births. Their infants are small, weak, and emotionally unstable.
④ Cold Mothers: Unwilling to have children due to various reasons but are forced to accept them. Most of their children are indifferent, mentally depressed, and have a solitary personality.
For every expectant mother who wants to give birth to a healthy and intelligent baby, no one wants to see their future child exhibit abnormalities. Everyone wants to be an ideal mother. So, how can this beautiful wish be achieved? At this point,
