I have frequent urination, difficulty urinating, and wake up 4/5 times at night.

Patient's question:

I have frequent urination, incomplete urination, and wake up 4-5 times at night. Urinalysis shows red blood cells and a + sign for white blood cells. This has been going on for decades. I have also had midstream urine bacterial culture tests, which were all normal. I am very hygienic, but I have had frequent urination for a long time, especially at night. It is truly very painful.

Doctor's answer:

Prostatitis generally presents with symptoms such as frequent urination, urinary pain, difficulty urinating, pain in the perineum and lower abdomen. It can also lead to sexual dysfunction, such as reduced libido, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and frequent nocturnal emissions.
For medication, a combination of antibiotics and interferon is often used, with highly effective drugs including trimethoprim, clindamycin, and erythromycin. Additionally, physical therapies such as magnetotherapy, hydrotherapy, microwave therapy, radiofrequency therapy, and guided fusion ablation should be combined. Proper massage of the prostate should also be performed appropriately.
