Severe varicocele patients still need to consider active treatment. For mild varicocele or those accompanied by neurasthenia, scrotal support and cold compresses can be used. For moderate to severe varicocele, continuous sperm count below 20 million three times in a row, or testicular atrophy; if the varicose veins disappear when lying flat, inguinal vein (high ligation of the inguinal vein) can be performed.
