Features: It is said that Spinoza once told Leibniz, "General philosophy starts with the created things, Descartes starts with the mind, and I start with God." This clearly shows that Spinoza was very clear about the starting point of his philosophy and that it differed fundamentally from Descartes' philosophy. For this reason, Spinoza once said to a friend when discussing his philosophy, "I do not think I have discovered the best philosophy; I only want to know whether my philosophy is a true philosophy."
