Features: Chinese characters are a precious cultural asset shared by China and Japan. Although there are differences in pronunciation and meaning between Chinese and Japanese characters, there are also many similarities. Fully leveraging this characteristic is highly beneficial for Chinese learners of Japanese. Based on this, the "Modern Japanese Series" has introduced a new series of dictionaries—such as the "Japanese Character Pronunciation Dictionary," "Japanese Name Pronunciation Dictionary," and "Japanese Place Name Pronunciation Dictionary," which are arranged and searchable in the order of Chinese Pinyin, similar to China's "Xinhua Dictionary." By using the familiar lookup method of the "Xinhua Dictionary," readers can quickly and accurately find the Japanese pronunciation and Chinese meanings of Japanese words. This dictionary also includes comprehensive search functions such as "Japanese Kana Order Lookup" and "Total Stroke Lookup," which will greatly improve readers' efficiency in mastering Japanese. This dictionary includes 2,673 Japanese characters, including "common characters," vocabulary for Level 1 and Level 2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), and vocabulary within the scope of the J.TEST exam, as well as characters frequently used in newspapers, magazines, and daily life. Each character is marked with both Japanese on'yomi and kun'yomi pronunciations; additionally, it lists 17,653 common words composed of these characters, along with brief Chinese meanings for reference. The appendix includes the "Japanese Pronunciation Lookup Table" (allowing Japanese pronunciation lookup by Japanese Kana order), the "Total Stroke Lookup Table," as well as the "Comparison Table of Common Japanese Characters and Simplified Chinese Characters," the "Common Counter Word Pronunciation Table," and the names of Japanese prefectures, prefectures, cities, and towns for reference.
