Selected Supplementary Materials of Hui Ancient Records in Southern China is the eighth volume in the Selected Compilations of Hui Ancient Records in Southern China series and also the last volume. The book Selected Supplementary Materials of Hui Ancient Records in Southern China primarily collects omitted materials from the first seven volumes from Hunan, Guangxi, Fujian, Hubei, Anhui, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangdong (10 provinces and autonomous regions). The content collected is limited to before the founding of the People's Republic of China. Some materials submitted by certain provinces and autonomous regions after the founding of the PRC are not included due to the unrestricted nature of the series. The editorial style of this book follows the structure of the first seven volumes, divided into seven parts: Genealogies, Inscriptions and Couplets, Historical Figures, Cultural and Education, Economic and Commerce, Social Organizations, and Mosques. Some materials submitted by individual provinces and autonomous regions that are difficult to classify are included as appendices. During the editing process, to maintain consistency in style, some modifications and adjustments were made to the (table of contents) submitted by certain provinces and autonomous regions, and some notes were removed.
