Systemic Transition and Macro-Control (Second Edition)

Author: Guo Shuqing
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2007-01-01
Features: This book is a monograph exploring the ethics of China's economic development and reform. In academic terms, it involves macroeconomics, development economics, and transition economics, as well as policy research. In terms of content, the book can be broadly categorized as applied macroeconomics. In terms of form, it is one of the earlier attempts to systematically study China's economy using modern economic methods. Most of the issues analyzed in this book have been a concern of the author and continue to be studied since 1992. To facilitate comparison and criticism by readers, and to address the issue of outdated material, the author has selected five articles written in the following decade as appendices, hoping they will be of some help. The front part of the book can be called empirical and normative research, or normative empirical research. Empirical and normative are two completely different methods, but here they seem to be combined quite well.
