Penile erection strength is weak! Is it normal to have an arc (downward bend)?

Patient's question:

Penis base is thick while glans is small, sometimes the urine streams split! White granulations in the glans sulcus? Erection is weak! Is the curvature (downward bend) normal?

Doctor's answer:

Most men's penises are slightly or moderately curved in one direction, which generally has no impact on sexual activity. Some men may experience curvature after erection due to congenital penile underdevelopment or acquired diseases. Congenital factors include hypospadias, asymmetrical development of both corpora cavernosa, abnormal fibrous tissue around the corpora cavernosa; congenital frenulum breve. Acquired factors include excessive removal of the foreskin during circumcision; a history of penile trauma or infection, leading to scar formation, especially as a sequelae of sexually transmitted diseases; or a special condition known as penile plaques.
