How can we determine if sperm is normal?

Patient's question:

How can one determine if sperm is normal? My situation is that the erection caused by masturbation is only 11 centimeters.

Doctor's answer:

First is color, referring to the color of semen. Normal semen is grayish-white and egg-white-like in texture. If it has not been ejaculated for an extended period of abstinence, it may appear light yellow. Newly expelled semen has high viscosity but can completely liquefy on its own within half an hour. If the newly expelled semen has low viscosity, it is abnormal, often indicating a lower number of sperm present.
Next is quantity and quality, referring to the amount of semen and the quality of the sperm. Generally, normal semen volume is about 2 to 6 milliliters, with an average of 3 to 4 milliliters. The normal number of sperm per milliliter of semen is approximately 100 to 150 million. If the number of sperm per milliliter is less than 60 million, it can be considered abnormal.
