Publishing Date: 2005-06-01
Features: This book is the research outcome of the sub-project "Research and Practice on the Curriculum System and Teaching Content of Engineering Drawing" under the National Planning Project of "Innovation and Practice of Talent Cultivation System in Chinese Higher Education in the 21st Century" in the field of educational science. During the revision process, reference was made to similar textbooks both domestically and internationally, and the experience of teaching reform over the years, especially in recent years, was summarized. It considers both the needs of cultivating talents for the 21st century and the current reality of adult higher education in China. This book can be used for majors such as Electrical and Information Engineering, Management Science and Engineering in general higher education, as well as for relevant majors in adult higher education institutions such as correspondence universities, evening universities, vocational universities, and radio and television universities. In terms of content, the book combines theory with application, emphasizing application. It selects traditional engineering drawing content while giving appropriate space to computer-aided drafting. Additionally, it adopts the relevant new national standards promulgated by the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision in 2003, such as "Technical Drawing" and "Mechanical Drawing," and arranges them in the main text or appendices as needed to help students develop awareness of implementing new national standards and cultivate their ability to consult national standards.
This book is the research outcome of the sub-project "Research and Practice on the Curriculum System and Teaching Content of Engineering Drawing" under the National Planning Project of "Innovation and Practice of Talent Cultivation System in Chinese Higher Education in the 21st Century," and is based on the book "Fundamentals of Engineering Drawing" edited by Song Ziyu and Yao Chen, published in 1999. It was revised according to the "Basic Requirements for Engineering Drawing Course Teaching in General Higher Education Institutions" formulated by the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education in 2004, as well as the newly released national standards for drawing in recent years, and incorporates the experience of teaching reform in recent years. The book includes: basic knowledge of drawing, fundamentals of projection, sections and intersections of solids, combination bodies, isometric drawings, common methods of expressing machine parts, standard parts and commonly used parts, parts drawings, assembly drawings, an introduction to AutoCAD 2004 drawing, and an introduction to electronic and electrical drawing. The accompanying exercise book has also been revised. This book is suitable for students of majors such as Electrical and Information Engineering, Management Science and Engineering in higher education institutions, as well as self-learners with similar requirements.
