Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction."
Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-oriented and virtue-based schooling," forming the distinctive educational feature of "comprehensive development + specialized skills." It has explored a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, refinement, novelty, and innovation." The outstanding academic performance in college entrance exams and competitions is an inevitable result of its long-term implementation of quality education, and merely reflects one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements.
When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What ability does it have to turn sand into a tower? What skill does it have to transform ordinary into extraordinary? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the of the college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully grasp the intent of examiners and deeply understand the underlying principles, positioning itself as a leader rather than a blind follower.
Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems but strongly advocates that students break free from it. It opposes students from doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and monotonous exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to engage in flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the problem-solving process.
If there is any other success Huanggang High School has achieved, it is that while cultivating and nurturing a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged its teaching staff, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and remarkable teaching achievements.
To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of three series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School 2007 College Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Materials." The "Huanggang High School 2007 College Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Materials" series adopts a "full simulation" format to highlight its features. The number and difficulty of open-ended and conventional problems are designed to closely align with the college entrance exams, emphasizing innovation and practicality.
To address the different time periods and characteristics of the first, second, and third rounds of college entrance exam review, we have positioned the first-round training materials as unit exercises, the second-round materials as thematic exercises, and the third-round materials as simulated exams, systematically and progressively solving the problems students encounter during the review process from three perspectives and levels.
Part of the content of this series is derived from internal teaching materials and exchanges with friendly schools, while the other part consists of newly added materials based on recent changes in college entrance exam questions, now compiled and published for the first time.
This series also reflects the following writing philosophy and features:
1. Appropriate exercise positioning: In terms of exercise arrangement, this series focuses on consolidating and gradually improving the knowledge points, question types, and methods associated with the exam content. The complexity and difficulty of the exercises are designed to progressively approach the level of the college entrance exams.
2. Detailed solution hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more thorough explanations provided for difficult problems. The well-placed hints in the series often play a pivotal role.
This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the authors' questions, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage, striving to become a unique gem in the educational supplement market.
