Features: In the 21st century, the Ministry of Education issued a new curriculum standard for compulsory education. The publication of experimental textbooks for compulsory education under the guidance of this new curriculum standard is an important sign of the deepening of educational reform in China. According to the planning and arrangements of the Ministry of Education, experimental textbooks for the curriculum standard of compulsory education have been published. The new textbooks give a fresh impression, adhering to the requirements of the new era and the concept of quality-oriented education, striving to embody the new concepts of curriculum, textbooks, teaching, and learning, with the focus on cultivating students' innovative spirit and practical ability, and the goal of improving students' comprehensive qualities. Their use is bound to be warmly welcomed by teachers and students. How to deeply understand the new curriculum standard and how to improve students' qualities, especially their ability to explore independently, has become an urgent new issue. The writing of this series of books is a new attempt in this regard. Based on a serious discussion and study of the new curriculum standard, we have collected the experience of research and exploration in learning in recent years, combined with the content of the new textbooks, and made the basic concepts and requirements of the new curriculum standard more concrete. This is beneficial for students to learn the new textbooks and also for them to improve their own qualities and abilities. The writing of this series of books strives to highlight the following characteristics:
First, the modernity and openness of the content. Modern society is an open society, but many previous textbooks and supplementary materials were outdated and monotonous, no longer suitable for current conditions and students' needs. Therefore, in the writing of this series of books, we have expanded a lot of fresh content, fully considering students' existing experience, interests, and needs, and widely utilizing various information resources such as multimedia, making the content of the books novel and vivid, and effectively stimulating students' interest in learning.
Second, emphasizing autonomy and exploration. The new curriculum standard places great emphasis on cultivating students' ability to explore, and the new textbooks also focus on the selection and updating of basic knowledge and skills. On this basis, more attention is paid to improving students' comprehensive qualities and innovative and practical abilities. Therefore, this series of books includes both training in autonomy to help students lay a solid foundation and cultivate the awareness of independent learning, as well as the cultivation of exploration ability. Through life-related content and diverse presentation methods, students can gain new knowledge and experiences in their exploration, thus comprehensively improving their qualities and abilities.
Third, focusing on the integration of various subjects, providing more background materials, and emphasizing the connections between knowledge in different subjects. In the process of transfer and expansion, we strive to integrate knowledge points into an organic whole as much as possible.
