Got prostatitis, what should be done

Patient's question:

I recently don't know why my lower abdomen is very uncomfortable, and I also don't get morning erections anymore. If I have prostatitis, what should I do?

Doctor's answer:

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) considers this condition to fall under the category of "." For many years, we have adopted a comprehensive approach that combines syndrome differentiation with disease identification, focusing on both the whole body and local symptoms. We have conducted in-depth research and exploration on the pathogenesis and treatment methods of this condition, identifying damp-heat accumulation and blood stasis obstruction as the primary pathogenic characteristics. Because the pathogenic factors of damp-heat are not easily eliminated, they accumulate in the lower burner, obstructing collaterals and leading to signs of blood stasis obstruction. "Stasis" not only refers to stagnant blood but also implies accumulation and blockage. "Turbidity" refers to damp and turbid secretions or purulent discharge. Pathologically, it manifests as chronic congestion and edema of the prostate gland, obstruction of prostatic ducts, and acute prostatic reflux obstruction with retained secretions. Clinically, it presents with local pain, urinary abnormalities, and sexual dysfunction. Therefore, on the basis of clearing heat and detoxifying, herbs such as Salvia miltiorrhiza, Carthamus tinctorius, and Persicae Semen are selected to resolve blood stasis and unblock collaterals. These herbs improve blood supply to the prostate, alleviate congestion and edema. Additionally, herbs like Semen Trichosanthis, Coix seed, and Poria are used to expel turbidity, promoting the discharge of inflammatory secretions from the prostate, accelerating the healing of inflammatory foci, and eliminating various clinical symptoms.
