Features: Teaching through comprehensive and relevant case studies is a common practice, and the "Legal Basics" course is no exception. A course without cases is not a course, and teaching without cases is not teaching. Analyzing abstract legal norms in conjunction with specific legal cases is an important teaching method for cultivating university students' legal awareness and often sparks their interest in law. However, during the process of collecting teaching cases, it was found that existing legal case compilations are either too complex or overly academic, or they focus on specific legal branches, such as civil law case collections, criminal law case collections, procedural law case collections, and so on. Case compilations with excessive specialization are generally not suitable for the teaching of "Legal Basics." Therefore, the idea of compiling this book was conceived. Due to long-term engagement in teaching the "Legal Basics" course at universities, a large amount of relevant materials has been collected, and their application in classroom teaching has yielded good results. Some of these materials have been organized, adapted, or created and compiled into this book. Due to limited space and a short compilation period, some important content may be omitted. Also, due to limited expertise, shortcomings are inevitable. We look forward to the readers' criticism and suggestions to encourage us to further improve the book.
