Features: Enhancing students' comprehensive qualities and developing their individual strengths cannot be achieved through last-minute cramming or by neglecting practicality and forcing growth. The development of students' intelligence and the improvement of their abilities is a gradual, long-term training process that spirals upwards. To support the development of extracurricular mathematics activities in primary schools and to provide students with systematic training in mathematical Olympiad content, a team of experienced teachers has compiled this series of books. Through a unique "one example, three exercises" format, it helps students systematically master the entire content of mathematical Olympiads, broaden their knowledge horizons, grasp problem-solving methods and techniques, and improve their test-taking and competition skills. This series of books strives to embody the following characteristics:
Comprehensive and Spiral-Upgrading. The series covers the entire content of primary school mathematical Olympiads, breaking it down by grade level, with 120 topics per grade, each serving as a training session. It also pays attention to the connection between grades, reflecting layers and gradients.
Rooted in Basics, Focused on Improvement. The topics for each grade are arranged according to the sequence of teaching content in common textbooks (such as the People's Education Press and Jiangsu Education Press editions), based on students' actual knowledge structure and cognitive development levels. This allows students to expand their training after mastering the basic knowledge in textbook units.
One Example, Three Exercises—Learn by Analogy. For each topic, a "typical example" is selected from a vast pool of problems, with "Approach" providing analysis and guidance; "Detailed Solution" offering thorough or alternative solutions; and "Tricks" summarizing and deepening the methods and techniques related to the example. Accompanying the example, three practice questions ("Good Problem Practice") are set to match the knowledge points, enabling students to complete them independently and cultivate the ability to generalize from examples.
Keeping Pace with the Times. The content of examples and exercises incorporates recent problem types from mathematical competitions across various regions, reflecting modernity, (fun), openness, exploration, and practicality. It also emphasizes close ties to real-life situations, guiding students to learn and apply mathematics in their daily lives.
