Features: Enhancing students' comprehensive qualities, developing their individual strengths, cannot be achieved through last-minute cramming or detached from reality. The development of students' intelligence and the improvement of their abilities is a gradual, long-term training process that spirals upwards. To support the development of extracurricular mathematics activities in primary schools and provide students with systematic training in mathematical Olympiad content, we have organized experienced teachers to write this series of books. Through the unique "one example, three exercises" format, it helps students systematically master the entire content of mathematical Olympiads, broadens their knowledge, grasps problem-solving methods and skills, and improves their exam and competition abilities. This series of books strives to embody the following characteristics:
Comprehensive content, spiral progression. The series breaks down the entire content of primary school mathematical Olympiads by grade, with 120 topics set for each grade, each topic serving as a training session. At the same time, it pays attention to the connection between grades, reflecting layers and gradients.
Based on fundamentals, aiming for improvement. Following the arrangement of teaching content in common textbooks (such as PEP and Jiangsu Education Press), the topics are designed based on students' actual knowledge structure and cognitive development levels, facilitating self-study and extension training after mastering basic textbook knowledge.
One example, three exercises, learn by analogy. Each topic selects typical problems from a vast pool of questions. "Approach" provides analysis and guidance; "Detailed Solution" offers thorough or alternative solutions; "Tricks" summarizes and deepens the knowledge, methods, and techniques related to the example. "Practice Problems" sets three exercises corresponding to the example's knowledge points, enabling students to complete them independently and cultivate the ability to learn by analogy.
Keeping pace with the times, aligning with modern trends. The example and exercise content incorporates question types from recent mathematics competitions across various regions, reflecting timeliness, fun, openness, exploration, and practicality. It also emphasizes close ties to real-life scenarios, guiding students to learn and apply mathematics in daily life.
During the writing process, we referred to the essence of similar books and express sincere gratitude. Due to time constraints and the limitations of the authors, errors and shortcomings are inevitable. We welcome criticism and suggestions.
