Features: "Mathematics is the gate and key to science." Mathematics is the foundation for the development of all sciences. For young children, building a solid mathematical foundation in school and learning some Olympic mathematics outside of class is crucial for improving scientific and cultural literacy and future development. In recent years, mathematical olympiad competitions, primary school mathematical application and exploration ability competitions, and Hua Luogeng Mathematical Golden Cup competitions have attracted a large number of math enthusiasts to participate eagerly. Although the transition from primary to secondary school has largely eliminated entrance exams, many foreign language schools and key middle schools still use students' competition awards as an important basis for assessing their qualities. English listening tests or comprehensive ability tests, as well as interviews for selecting top middle schools, all include a certain number of olympiad math questions, showing that mathematical ability remains a key aspect in measuring students' overall competence.
To meet the needs of primary school students learning olympiad math, we have engaged experienced teachers who have achieved remarkable results in olympiad tutoring to compile this series, "Math Olympiad Little Champions," for young readers. The purpose is to spark interest among math enthusiasts, provide systematic training, build a solid foundation, and enhance competition readiness. Currently, there are many math competition preparation books available, but this series has its own unique features:
- Synchronized with the Curriculum: Based on the new curriculum standards and corresponding latest edition textbooks, each grade has its own book. This allows students to deepen and enhance their foundational knowledge while learning some olympiad math.
- Self-Study Friendly: Each book is divided into 25-28 topics, aligned with the knowledge system of the grade's textbook. In each topic, the "Coach's Notes" introduce real-life scenarios to spark your interest; the "Winning Techniques" provide detailed thought guidance and solutions for 5-6 examples; the "Strategic Summaries" help you grasp patterns and improve your ability through practice; and the "Warm-Up Drills" include exercises to enhance your problem-solving skills and competition level.
- Comprehensive Practice Tests: At the end of each book, there are three "Climb to Champion" comprehensive tests.
Additionally, this series emphasizes hierarchy, critical thinking, openness, and fun, fostering students' innovative awareness and practical abilities. We sincerely hope that math enthusiasts will enjoy this series, train diligently, and bravely strive for excellence. With hard work, you are sure to win and become a little champion in the Mathematical Olympiad. Wishing you success!
