"Mathematics is the gate and key of all sciences." Mathematics is the foundation for the development of all sciences. For young children, it is crucial to build a solid mathematical foundation in class and learn some Olympic mathematics outside of class to improve their scientific and cultural literacy and support their future development. In recent years, mathematical olympiad competitions, primary school mathematical application and exploration ability competitions, and Hua Luogeng Mathematical Golden Cup competitions have attracted a large number of math enthusiasts to participate actively.
Although the transition from primary to junior high school has largely eliminated entrance exams, many foreign language schools and key middle schools still consider students' competition awards as important criteria for assessing their qualities. The English listening tests, comprehensive ability tests, and interviews for selecting into excellent middle schools all include a certain number of olympiad math problems, demonstrating that mathematical ability remains a key aspect in evaluating students' overall competence.
To meet the needs of primary school students learning olympiad math, we have engaged experienced teachers who have achieved remarkable results in olympiad coaching to compile this series of "Mathematical Olympiad Little Champions" for young readers. The purpose is to help math enthusiasts enhance their interest, engage in systematic training, build a solid foundation, and improve their competitive skills.
Currently, there are many mathematical competition coaching books available, but this series has its own unique features: aligned with textbooks. Based on the new curriculum standards and corresponding latest edition textbooks, each grade has its own book. While students master classroom knowledge, they can also learn some olympiad math, deepening and enhancing their foundational understanding. Convenient for self-learning. Each book includes 25-28 topics, aligned with the knowledge system of the corresponding grade textbook. In each topic, "Coaching Notes" introduce real-life scenarios to spark your interest; "Winning Techniques" provide detailed thought guidance and solutions for 5-6 example problems; "Tactical Summaries" help you grasp patterns and improve your ability through generalization; and "Warm-up Drills" include exercises to enhance your problem-solving skills and competitive level. At the end of each book, there are three "Climb to Champion" comprehensive test papers.
Additionally, the content of this series emphasizes hierarchy, thoroughness, openness, and fun, fostering students' innovative awareness and practical abilities. We sincerely hope that math enthusiasts will enjoy this series, engage in solid training, and bravely strive for excellence. With diligence and effort, you are sure to win and become a little champion in the Mathematical Olympiad.
Wishing you success!
