Features: The "Synchronous Unit Practice" series published by Beijing Normal University Press has undergone 10 years of refinement and has become a premium teaching aid. Accompanying countless students through 12 years of basic education and into the halls of higher education. Today, in 2005, as the new curriculum reform in basic education is fully underway, Beijing Normal University Press has once again reviewed and adapted this "Synchronous Unit Practice" series. The updated series keeps pace with the trends of curriculum reform, updates educational concepts, helps students learn how to learn, systematically master the knowledge systems of various subjects, and enhances their ability to explore and innovate. At the same time, it is based on the new "Full-Time Senior High School Teaching Syllabus" issued by the Ministry of Education in 2002, as well as textbooks in subjects such as politics, Chinese, mathematics, English, physics, chemistry, history, geography, and biology, which have been reviewed and approved by the National Committee for the Examination of Textbooks for Primary and Secondary Schools. This series is intended for use by senior high school students and teachers across the country. The series is compiled by curriculum developers and frontline teaching experts from experimental areas, based on practical experience and discussions. The purpose of the compilation is to strive to better reflect the overall goal of focusing on all students, emphasizing the foundational, popular, and developmental aspects, and to provide students with realistic, interesting, challenging, and illustrated learning materials, as well as time and space for hands-on activities, exploration, research, and communication. To meet the needs of different students' development, this series pays attention to students' choices and individual development, integrates important scientific thinking methods, fully demonstrates the formation and application of subject knowledge, and continuously enhances students' interest in learning, confidence, sense of responsibility, attitude of pragmatism, scientific spirit, and innovative awareness. It strives for a "new" approach while highlighting a "practical" one. The series focuses on the key content of each subject, targets difficult and easily mistaken points, and strengthens students' learning abilities in various subjects, with the aim of comprehensively improving their ability to analyze and solve problems. This series can be used as in-class exercises or assigned as homework. At the back of the entire book, there are reference answers and hints for students to provide timely feedback and corrections. The answer pages are also designed with cutting lines, allowing teachers and parents to cut out the answers for easier checking and evaluation of students' learning progress. Due to the urgency of the revision and the rapid pace of curriculum reform, some concepts and ideas may still not keep up with the development of the reform, and there may be omissions in the writing. We sincerely welcome readers to provide valuable feedback during use. This series was organized, planned, and compiled by Mr. Dai Jiamin, former curriculum developer of the Jiangxi Provincial Education Department Teaching and Research Office, among others.
