Features: In early 2002, the China Education Press conducted extensive research on 12,000 non-English major university students in China to understand the reading topics most interesting to contemporary Chinese college students. Through this research, which may be the largest of its kind conducted in China to date, 120 topics were selected. Based on this foundation, the China Education Press launched the "Creative College English Series" in July 2002, a brand-new concept series designed for Chinese college students, including "Creative College English Reading," "Creative College English Speaking," and "Creative College English Writing." Each volume of "Creative College English Speaking" includes a Student Book and a Teacher Book. This textbook aims to: cultivate students' English listening and speaking skills in various scenarios; strengthen the practice of active vocabulary as outlined in the "Teaching Requirements for College English Curriculum"; incorporate introductions to Eastern and Western cultural differences to focus on developing students' cross-cultural communication awareness; and cultivate students' ability to use English creatively for communication.
