Features: This comprehensive reference book, integrating an anthology, commentary, and lookup function, has become an essential tool for students and literature enthusiasts due to its collection of the essence of Chinese literature, its clear and accessible explanations, and its rich information. To meet the needs of readers with different cultural backgrounds, a compact series of literary appreciation dictionaries has been compiled based on the original dictionary, selecting outstanding works, retaining some appendices, and rewriting them. This book includes the works of over 100 Yuan Dynasty qu poets, arranged chronologically. It includes over 270 xiaoling (short qu poems), 14 qu sets, and over 40 zaju (musical dramas). The appreciation essays for xiaoling are mostly one per piece, with a total of over 300 entries in the book and over 30 line drawings. The book uses simplified characters, with traditional characters or variant characters used when necessary to avoid ambiguity. Difficult phrases in the qu poems are generally explained within the appreciation essays, with occasional annotations at the end of the qu poems. Historical dates related to ancient history are generally presented in the old calendar system, with corresponding Gregorian dates added. The Gregorian dates in parentheses usually omit the word "year."
