Here are all the ancient ghost stories you want to read! In strange tales, there are clashes between humans and gods or spirits, the intermingling of reality and fantasy, the cycle of good and evil, and the passionate expression of true emotions. This is not only a vent for emotions but also a window for wishes. In strange tales, humans are often the main characters, but they are frequently overshadowed by gods, ghosts, and strange creatures. The fiction of the Six Dynasties can be broadly divided into two types: strange tales and biographies of famous people, with the former being the majority. The "Six Dynasties" refer to the period from the Three Kingdoms to the Jin, Song, Qi, Liang, and Chen dynasties, three hundred years of turbulent division and reunification. The unstable political situation made people's lives difficult, so they turned their hearts to religious beliefs, hoping to pray for blessings and ward off misfortune with the power of ghosts and gods. Through various fantastical plots, they expressed their protest against the ruling class and their dissatisfaction with reality. Although these strange tales are written in simple language and are short, they are full of profound emotions that move people deeply. Many well-known stories draw their inspiration from here and have been passed down continuously, becoming an endless source of inspiration for later generations of literature. This book includes six parts: Playing with Gods, Messing with Immortals, Fiddling with Ghosts, Describing Demons, Creating Strange Things, and Astonishing Events.
