Features: The Yunnan Provincial Archives is a comprehensive provincial-level archive with a certain scale. It provides a relatively comprehensive and detailed introduction to the content of the archives and materials held by the Yunnan Provincial Archives, facilitating better utilization by all sectors of society. The "Guide to the Yunnan Provincial Archives" is a book that comprehensively introduces and reports on the basic conditions of the Yunnan Provincial Archives, the content of its archives and materials, and guides users in accessing and utilizing them. The entire book is compiled in accordance with the 1992 "Compilation Standards for Archive Guides" of the People's Republic of China, taking into account the actual conditions of the archives. All numerical data published in the book are based on the statistics as of the end of December 1995. The archival series codes starting with the letter "1" are for old regime archives; those starting with "2" are for archives from after the founding of the People's Republic of China; the revolutionary history archives consist of a single series, which is sequentially numbered as 2001 along with post-founding archives; other types of archives are not divided by period. Seal archives start with "3," and photograph archives start with "4." For example, 1001 is the first archival series of old regime archives in the collection; 2001 is for revolutionary history archives; 2065 is the series for the People's Government of Yunnan Province; seal archives are designated as series 3001.
