Features: This book focuses on the mechanistic research of rare earths in agriculture. It first proposes the polarographic complex adsorption wave analysis method for trace rare earth elements and its application in plant sample analysis. It uses spectroscopy analysis to study the complexation of rare earths with carboxylic acids, amino acids, peptides, proteins, etc. It investigates the synthesis and electrochemical behavior of eight naturally occurring metal porphyrins and rare earth porphyrins in aqueous solutions. It explores the formation and electrochemical behavior of rare earth complexes with crown ethers or porphyrins in non-aqueous media. This leads to the extension of research on the determination methods of chlorophyll in solution and the electroreduction mechanisms of chlorophyll a and b. On this basis, BLM model membranes were prepared to study the photoelectric effects of metal chlorophyll and rare earth complexes, as well as the influence of rare earth ions on several enzyme-catalyzed reactions in the assimilation process of nitrogen. The book consists of seven chapters and serves as a reference for in-depth research on the mechanistic principles of rare earths in agriculture.
