Therefore, the author of this book attempts to use a systematic packaging design program as the basis for chapter division. It is hoped that this systematic introduction can help readers learn packaging design progressively from a perceptual to a rational level, enabling them to better understand and master the key principles of packaging design. Since this book covers all aspects of design, some chapters, such as typographic design and color composition, are already extensively discussed in other specialized works within this series of teaching materials. Therefore, only a concise overview is provided in this book, integrated with packaging to maintain coherence throughout. In teaching, attention should be paid to the connection and integration with other related courses. Packaging design is a category of industrial design, possessing all the characteristics of industrial design. The printed plates or design drawings completed after design serve as the basis for large-scale production of packaging, making it essential to understand production processes. In the later chapters of this book, packaging printing is introduced in conjunction with packaging design, aiming to help students grasp some production principles so that they can adapt more quickly to work after entering the workforce.
