Each province (municipality, autonomous region) is published as a separate volume, based on first-hand materials from actual investigations. It systematically records the history, current status, content, forms, styles, and evolutionary characteristics of ethnic folk dances in each province (municipality, autonomous region), as well as related seasonal customs, beliefs, and rituals. The selection of dances from each province (municipality, autonomous region) does not consider cross-over or overlap, aiming to ensure the accuracy of the data and preserve local characteristics. This book first systematically records the historical origins, evolutionary styles, performance forms, musical accompaniment, costumes, and props of folk dances in Inner Mongolia, as well as related customs, seasonal festivals, beliefs, rituals, arts and crafts, and literature and archaeology. It fills a gap in the historical records and research of Chinese culture.
