Features: Guangxi is located in the subtropical region, with an ecological environment that is relatively suitable for the occurrence and damage of dragon eye and lychee pests and diseases. At the current stage, due to insufficient awareness of pests and diseases and low technical levels of their control, many orchards suffer significant yield losses each year due to pest and disease damage. To address these issues and meet the needs of readers for knowledge on the prevention and control of dragon eye and lychee pests and diseases, the authors have extensively collected relevant materials based on investigations, experiments, and demonstrations, and have compiled this illustrated manual. It is hoped that this manual will serve as a valuable scientific reference for fruit farmers, agricultural science personnel, and teachers and students in forestry and agriculture colleges. The content of this manual is organized into four parts: Part 1 is on pests, including over 100 species of insects, mites, and bats, with six of them being newly emerging major species in recent years. The second part covers diseases, focusing on the introduction of 19 diseases that affect flowers, fruits, branches, and leaves. The third part is on integrated pest and disease management, mainly introducing the characteristics of pest and disease occurrence and damage in dragon eye and lychee, basic practices of integrated management, and an annual control schedule. The fourth part explains the preparation methods of orchard, including the calculation of concentration for fungicides and plant growth regulators, as well as the preparation of several homemade pesticides.
