Plastic mulching increases effective accumulated temperature (200-300°C) and has a reflective effect, enhancing light intensity. Therefore, it maximizes the use of light and heat to meet the needs of crop growth, allowing the same variety of crops to be grown in areas 500 meters further north (from low to high latitudes) and 500-1,000 meters higher in altitude (from low to high elevations). This expands the cultivation range of crops, effectively harnessing the potential of land production.
