Features: To further promote agricultural production, boost rural economy, improve the scientific and cultural quality of farmers, accelerate the realization of agricultural modernization, build China into a strong agricultural power, and build Guangxi into a strong agricultural province, we have organized and published this series of "Agriculture, Rural Areas, and Farmers Engineering Book Collection." This book collection is composed of selected and revised works from hundreds of agricultural technical books already published by our press, as well as new topics to fill gaps. In line with the purpose of revitalizing the agricultural economy and serving "agriculture, rural areas, and farmers," our press plans to publish 100 agricultural technical books within two years. The book collection is divided into multiple series—introductory, popular, and advanced—using various writing styles such as declarative, Q&A, chart-based, and illustration-based formats to categorically introduce the high-yield cultivation techniques, pest and disease control methods for crops, fruits, vegetables, and more, as well as content on animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, aquaculture, agricultural product processing, and other aspects. The entire book collection emphasizes a "new" approach and focuses on practicality. The text is concise and accessible, the technology is advanced and innovative, the measures are effective and well-executed, and the methods are practical and actionable, aiming to make it easy for readers to understand, learn, and apply immediately. We hope this book collection will play a significant role in promoting agricultural production, boosting the rural economy, and helping farmers escape poverty.
When this book was first published in October 1994, it collected 60 examples of farmers in Guangxi and advanced provinces applying the three-dimensional agriculture model to increase production and income in seven areas: paddy fields, drylands, sugarcane fields, vegetable fields, fruit and mulberry groves, water bodies, and courtyards. It was highly popular among farmers. In 1996, the Guangxi Knowledge Engineering Office recommended it as a "good rural reading material" and included it as part of the content for the "Guangxi Rural Science Popularization Knowledge Competition," which was live-streamed on Guangxi Television in 1997. To further meet the needs of implementing the "Science and Education Revitalizing Agriculture" and "Sustainable Development" strategies, and in response to the requests of readers, the author recently revised the book, increasing the number of three-dimensional agriculture examples from 60 in the first edition to 90. The book highlights practical results and key points of implementation, with each example accompanied by a schematic diagram of the application model. The content is novel, the text is clear, the illustrations are rich, and the book is highly operational, making it suitable for farmers, grassroots cadres, agricultural middle school teachers and students, and agricultural technical personnel.
